A girl from Malaysia learning how to balance life as a responsible adult and yet learning how to find joy thru work, church and frens.. The in-between stage of morphing from a rebellious teenager (haha.. :) took me pretty long eh?) to an adult..
I enjoy reading, talking to ppl, especially my friends (though once in awhile I might be unsociable or shy), playing the guitar, listening to music (alternative-ish), basketball.. haha, and the most important of all.. sleeping (it's something u just don't get enough of when u start working..)
I strive to be a better person, a person worthy to be called a Christian in as many aspects of my life as I can.. and note, it's "strive", not "am".. Learning how to practice daily surrender, continual conversion, the giving over control of my thoughts, speech and actions to God..
I want to love God more, to need Him more than anything else.. That's my desire.. To love Him with the immense capacity that I know I'm capable of..
I may not be very wise, and I definitely DO not know everything.. Just learning to trust Him more, each and every day..
LOL!! I thought i was going to Gardere tonight (Friday), but.. I was sadly mistaken.. haha.. but tonight turned out way more awesome than I ever thought it would be ;)
We had a Scavenger Hunt tonight.. And i thought i'd been on some good treasure hunts.. haha.. tonight's hunt was a hunt like never before.. organized by our Missions stream class..
We met at at South at 7pm and got our instructions and checklist.. Got into 4 per team/car..
Our checklist.. Hmm.. Let me list it out properly here.. It's kinda small in the picture..
You will be split up into groups of 4. Your group must stay together the entire time. 1. Pray for someone in a wheelchair 2. Get 8 people saved 3. Get someone saved and baptized in water 4. Get someone full of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues 5. Get 4 people healed 6. Witness to a person of another religion (Muslim, Hindu, etc, Catholics do not count) 7. Witness to someone over the age of 60 8. Witness to a parent with their child 9. Witness to a group of 5 people of more 10. Buy me a protein bar and witness to someone in the checkout line 11. Witness to someone who is bald 12. Witness to someone who looks to be 400lbs. or more 13. Find Josh Romine without contacting him personally and take a picture with him 14. Open air preach to a group of 10 or more 15. Do a handstand in the fountains downtown by the Shaw building (take a picture) 16. Take a picture with Neil Goodson downtown at the Hilton hotel.
*fell asleep typing this last night.. Continued on Saturday night..*
So yeah, we sped off and went downtown first.. Saw this chinese looking dude walking by the side of the road, and my team mates were like, get down get down!! He looks foreign!! Go Go!! so, 3 of us ran down and chased down the dude >.< lol!! spoke to him, his name was Roger, and he's from China and he was here for a conference, and he was looking for a Japanese restaurant.. I asked him if he'd heard about Jesus before, and i talked to him about the Gospel in Chinese as we walked him to the Japanese restaurant at the Shaw Building.. He didn't accept Christ, but, he'd never before heard the name of Jesus..
Then we went down to the fountains, and i did a handstand against the wall and told one of the girls to grab my legs and i walked with my hands over to the fountain.. haha..
Love my jeans btw ;) got them for 8 bucks at Rue 21.. awesome eh ;)
Then we ran over to the Hilton, where Joanna, the driver got the picture with Neil.. Neil is Brother Justin's younger brother, Brother Justin is our Missions stream director, the dude that came up with this scavenger hunt.. and we hopped into the car and right after we started off, we spot a lady on a wheelchair.. lol!! we jumped off and went up to her again.. Brandy asked if she could pray for her.. and she said, well, ok, i guess..
So Brandy's like binding the spirit of infirmities, and then she suddenly goes, remove the evil spirits in her mind that are keeping her in the wheelchair, the lady freaks out and goes, "I don't have evil spirits, I don't have evil spirits".. shoos us away and literally speeds off >.< ROFL!!!! it was hilarious for me..

We got back into the car and Brandy's totally regretting saying the word evil spirits.. lol!! i was just laughing ;) We then headed off towards the mall, where there are a strip of shops, and the movie theatre and stuff.. when we pass by a McDonald's, counted the number of ppl, there was just about over 10 ppl including the ppl at the counter.. so we jumped out.. and yeah.. Brandy and Tiara open air preached and I took photos..

It was cool.. i'm not sure if i could do that.. but, i would like to do it some time :) haha.. we'll see ;)
I spoke to some homeless "artist" bum who was there who wouldn't shut up so i could talk.. i had to keep reminding him that he said he would listen.. so yeah.. we talked for quite a bit.. but, he wasn't making sense to me much.. so i just ended up praying with him and then we left.. while i was doing that.. Joanna talked to the ppl and got 3 ppl saved >.< crazy.. she was on a roll that nite.. haha.. she got a total of 8 ppl saved that night..

Then we went down to the mall strip and talked to some ppl.. trying to see if they would get baptized.. but it was a cold night and yeah, we didn't get that to happen.. but some people got saved there.. met some girls from Club at Lee High.. spent some time with them, one of the girls was a little high on sugar, she was drinking Strawberry Extreme from Sonic.. so yeah.. she was hyper.. said she was a little mad at someone but will not cuss cos she got her Christian leader, me, around.. lol!! i just laughed and told her.. cussing, not good, whether i'm there or not.. i love her.. haha..
We left the mall area with 15 minutes to spare to 10pm.. and remembered that we had to buy the protein bar.. so, we sped all the way back to Siegen towards the church, and stopped at the Chevron gas station nearby, and i jumped out, hunted for a protein bar >.< i've never bought one before.. lol!! and then went to the counter.. i was given instructions to just slap the cash on the table and tell the lady to keep the change and run out.. but, the entire instruction was to witness to someone in the checkout line as well.. there was no line.. so i talked to the lady at the counter about Christ.. and just so happen.. she looked like she was over 400lbs as well.. so, check, we got that too..
Sped back to church, got there with 4 minutes to spare, thank God.. Brother Justin's group was there before us.. they had 5 healings and 14 salvations.. we didn't have any healings, but we had 8 salvations..

I have no idea who won.. but, haha.. it don't matter to me.. it was a good night, and i'm glad i went..

I rode to the South with Krystal, Perla, Melissa and Shantell in Krystal's little buggy.. so we left together.. haha.. guess what i decided to do for the ride back ;)

Me in the trunk space and Melissa and Shantell.. and i was just cracking them up the whole trip back apparently.. they keep laughing at the way i talk.. saying that i sound British.. and then, sometimes i throw in the Indian accent as well.. so yeah..
Well.. it was a pretty awesome night ;) and even though it was fun and all, throughout the night, it was a clear reminder to me that so many people need God, the people that i talked to, compassion rose in my heart.. for the Chinese dude who was raised in a Communist country, for the homeless dude, for my girls at the high school, for the people on the streets that we talked to.. and i wished i wasn't on a time limit.. i gotta do this more..
Thank God for the salvations and healings that night..
